NISSAN RETAIL THRILL OF THE DEAL

Automotive retail is historically un-thrilling. So we turned Nissan retail ads into heart-racing thrillers, and enlisted award-winning Hollywood directors to bring them to life. We started with Brie Larson, in the new Sentra, getting chased by a BMW, in the heat of a Hollywood drag race. The ad debuted right before the holidays, juxtaposed against competitors’ ads with snowy mountain roads, wreaths, and big lame bows on cars.


EPISODE 01. THE DUEL
Directed by Marc Forster

In the second installation, a runaway bride ditches her own wedding and embarks on a high-speed car chase with her lovelorn groom.

EPISODE 02. THE RUNAWAY
Directed by Fredrik Bond

Standard retail deliverables, like dealer reels, became cinematic trailers.

The third film in the series turned two parked Nissans into a full-on espionage thriller.

EPISODE 03. THE DEAL
Directed by Ellen Kuras

We built pricing supers right into the action.

And expanded the narrative to POP, breaking brand and category conventions, applying a filmic lens to even the hardest working elements.
